DPVC Response to Edgewood Town Commission’s Attack on Women’s Rights
On Thursday, the Chair of the Democratic Party of Valencia County forcefully reacted to a Tuesday night vote by the Edgewood, NM Town Commission to block the distribution of abortion medication or supplies by mail, extending a wave of local municipalities attempting to impose restrictions on abortions in defiance of New Mexico state law.
New Leadership Elected For Democratic Party of Valencia County
The Democratic Party of Valencia County announced the results of its recent election of new party leaders. In balloting among members of the party’s County Central Committee, Former party Treasurer Summer Ludwig ran unopposed to succeed outgoing County Party Chair, Pam Cordova, who did not run for reelection. Her term begins immediately and will run for two years.
