The Democratic Party of Valencia County invites community members to attend our May 2026 General Meeting on Saturday, May 16, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Belen Public Library, located at 333 Becker Ave.

We are honored to welcome Estela Hernandez, Executive Director of Emerge New Mexico, as our special guest. Estela is an Emerge New Mexico alum and a dynamic leader with experience in political advocacy, campaign management, leadership coaching, public health, adult education, and community-centered work. Her background and commitment to empowering historically underrepresented communities make her an inspiring voice for Democrats working to build strong local leadership across New Mexico.

During the meeting, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a phone bank for Decline-to-State voters and Alan Montano, our candidate for Valencia County Sheriff. This is an important chance to help reach voters, support local candidates, and strengthen Democratic organizing in Valencia County.

Attendees are encouraged to bring hygiene items to donate to neighbors in need.
