Join Us for an Extra Special General Meeting!
Local Community Dinner and Donation Drive
The Democratic Party of Valencia County is thrilled to announce we will be serving our local community in an extra special General Meeting! We invite you to join the DPVC and the Valencia County Resource Center on Wednesday, November 26th, to serve and enjoy warm meals and help us fill the resource center’s pantry with donations!

We are asking for volunteers to join us in preparing and serving warm meals, a community lunch, and event clean up (someone has to wash the dishes!) the day before Thanksgiving. This is an excellent
time to meet and connect with valuable community members from every corner of the county and all walks of life.

We also humbly ask that those who are able to donate to the resource center join us in doing so.
The Valencia County Resource Center provides food, hygiene items, clothing and critical support to families and individuals in economic crisis. Especially as the funding for the Supplemental Nutritional
Assistance Program (“SNAP”) has been held hostage, it is critical that these community members do not fall in the cracks of hunger and poverty.

  • Food (which can include seasonal foods, perishable goods, beverages in cans or plastic containers, and shelf-stable items)
  • Personal hygiene essentials and feminine health and hygiene essentials
  • New socks and undergarments for all genders
  • New or gently-used coats and winter clothes

Set up and food prep (No experience required!) – 8 AM
Lunch service – 11 AM to 1 PM
Community hubbub – 1 PM to 3 PM
Clean up – 3 PM to 4 PM
