CALL to the VALENCIA COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY CCC MEETING

Executive Committee Authority and Responsibilities
Between meetings of the County Central Committee (CCC), the Executive Committee shall have the authority to conduct the routine business and affairs of the Democratic Party of Valencia County (DPVC) as allowed by Article III Rule 4.7 of the DPNM rules.
The Executive Committee shall act on behalf of the County Central Committee in carrying out policies, directives, and decisions adopted by the County Central Committee, and in addressing matters requiring timely action, provided that such actions are consistent with the Rules of the Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM), the Rules of the Democratic Party of Valencia County, and applicable state and federal law.
The Executive Committee shall not take any action reserved to the County Central Committee under DPNM or DPVC Rules, including but not limited to the adoption or amendment of rules, endorsement of candidates where prohibited, or actions expressly requiring approval of the County Central Committee.Supplemental Rule 2: Second Vice Chair
Second Vice Chair
The Democratic Party of Valencia County shall establish the position of Second Vice Chair as an officer of the County Party as allowed by Article III Rule 4.4.2 of the DPNM Rules.
The Second Vice Chair shall be appointed by the Executive Committee upon nomination by the Chair by a majority vote of those present and voting.
The Second Vice Chair shall be of a different gender than the First Vice Chair, consistent with Democratic Party principles of gender balance and representation.
The Second Vice Chair shall serve at the pleasure of the Executive Committee and may be removed by a majority vote of the Executive Committee.
The duties and responsibilities of the Second Vice Chair shall be assigned by the Chair and may include assisting with party operations, organizing, outreach, campaigns, or other responsibilities necessary to support the work of the County Party.
The Second Vice Chair shall be a voting member of the Executive Committee unless otherwise prohibited by DPNM Rules. The meeting will be to present the rules that have been approved by the Executive Committee, the vote to approve/disapprove of the rules will take place by electronic ballot following the meeting. The ballots will be delivered Thursday, May 28th and voting will end on Wednesday, June 3rd at 11:59pm.
