DPNM believes Dems should have a candidate in every single race in rural New Mexico. But the last local elections in 2025 had races where no one even filed to run! 

We can’t lose races because we aren’t fielding candidates. Sara Attleson – DPNM Chair is working with other NM Dems to organize trainings on rural candidate recruitment. 

The first training for our southern counties will be on February 28th, from 10 am to 4 pm in Socorro, 200 5th St. (Lunch will be provided).
